The way they handled the recent flooding is pathetic! The apartments in the first floor are prone to flooding and pests! Moreover, the administrative staff are not that friendly to talk to.
Cons - did not receive a properly cleaned apartment(had to vacuum the carpets ourselves after moving in). sliding doors did not function properly even after requesting and letting the lease office know. Shoddy kitchen. And parking space was a pain more or less.
And the directions to this place is ambiguous to say the least. Never saw anyone reach the apartment with just the address(a pain if you are getting something delivered or moved.)
I've lived in Laurel Park for almost a year now and will soon renew my lease for another year. It has been such a great experience! The apartments are nice, the grounds are kept up well, the pool and fitness center are great, and if I have a maintenance issue it is taken care of very quickly.
Lived there for almost three years. The rent goes up 40-50 dollars each time you sign a lease. And for what you pay its not worth it at all. The apartments have gone way down hill and the pipes pop in the walls when the neighbors take a shower. Plus when you move out they slap you with hidden fees for water/trash and you get a 200.00 bill. Then two weeks later they send you a letter saying you owe more money to replace the carpet. We paid a 200.00 deposit when we moved in, that is what that's supposed to be for (anything they have to fix). Shouldn't have to pay more money. All they want is money money money. So they find excuses to get it from you. Beware before renting here!!!
Pros - Location , near all kinds of shopping amenities you can think of.(when I say near i mean really close, almost walking distance)
This place is fantastic. Great location and staff. Melissa in the office is absolutely awesome. Super friendly and very knowledgeable and thorough. Ask for Melissa when you stop in.
The location is also wonderful! Minutes (or walking distance) to restaurants, shopping, grocery store, Lowe's, ice cream, pharmacy, etc. Yes, the price is a little high, but I'd much rather pay a little more rent and have a wonderful experience like I've had, than pay a moderate amount and not be positively thrilled with where I live.
