I visited this restaurant while I was on a business trip at Jackson, MI, the hotel customer service told us that Mugshots was closed by and it was people’s choice so we decided to give them a try. The plates served here are huge, way more food than what I will normally eat during lunch or dinner. Mugshots is a very popular place in Jackson, MI. One of the times I went to this restaurant I had an Ahi Tuna salad, and the other time I had one of their huge burgers. Mugshots is a big restaurant, can hold big family get together or business parties. Their beer selection is good, my choice is always a draft beer from the local area or state. They are closed to the movie theaters, in case you want to get a bite before or after a movie
Great burger place. We've only eaten here about 9 times now, but each time has been a consistent good experience and the servers are fast and very pleasant. So far, five stars for great burgers and service. BTW the bar tender does make awesome cocktails, too.
Our server was very nice and our food came out fast and correct. We asked for silverware and were told they didn't have any because they were busy and it was all dirty. Overall it was a good experience though.
Not too impressed. Host was a total slob in his appearance and attitude. Waitress was very nice. Food was way too greasy. My son got a salad and it was very good. Burgers looked good. Prices are too bad. I gave it a 2 star because there are way too many other places to choose from that are better.
The food is decent. The service was terrible, not just once, but both times I visited. The thing that decided me on never ever going back, was the mandatory gratuity. I live and pay bills with tips from my job, so I understand wanting to be tipped, but adding it to someone's ticket so it jumps out like a sneaky backhand is wrong. The sad part is that I would have tipped a lot more than what they made me pay. I usually tip 25% if the service is good. They made me tip 18%. It's really no wonder the service sucks! The waiters and waitresses get tips wether they do a wonderful job or not. They could literally ignore you and still get 18% gratuity. So... that is why I'm done with this place.
