The customer service at this hotel is excellent! Upon arrival I was assisted with my accommodations by the gentleman who works night audit (Paul). From the time of check-in til my departure the hospitality at this location was very warm and welcoming which is always a fantastic characteristic when lodging away from home. My husband has had to have spinal injections for a herniated disk in his back at a local Pain Clinic in Jackson. This Clinic is about 4-5 miles on Lakeland Drive from this Best Western. The location is perfect! The stay was very relaxing, the desk clerks are very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. We have to come again for one more injection in Oct/2017 and have already made arrangements to stay there! Thanks for everything. We have no complaints about all 3 of our past stays!
I had a slow check in, but didn’t have a reservation. Great room rate for medical procedures. The refrigerator in the room was adjusted to be as warm as possible. Everything else was great.
I was not terribly impressed with the esthetics of this location but the helpful service I received in the breakfast room from a kind gentleman (named Davion, I believe) is certainly worth remarking upon! As for the sleeping quarters, after being in the car for over twelve hours, suffice it to say that my infant son did not sleep in the torn up crib that they provided that was also lacking fitted sheets or so much as a flat sheet that fit the nearly shredded (not even so much as taped-up) crib mattress. Furthermore, after pulling in well after midnight, when calling at nearly 2am to inquire about sheets for the pullout sofa bed so that my preschool-aged twin sons could get some rest, I was simply told that I could come downstairs and get a set. Thankfully, after a bit of further investigation within the room in hopes that I wouldn't have to drag my family down to the front desk, I found a set of sheets on the shelf in the closet. Beyond that, the (also pictured) peeling wallpaper certainly detracted from the room that otherwise seemed to be fairly well maintained. Lastly, when asking for a late checkout time, I was told that was likely not possible but that asking again around breakfast might be useful. Upon inquiring one more at around 6:30am, I was thankfully given a late checkout time so my little guys could get a little extra shut-eye.
I challenge anyone to find a better hotel in the area for the money. Staff when beyond my expectations. Breakfast was good, with plenty of selections. Davion kept the breakfast area spotless and food stocked. Room was very clean and comfortable (one king bed). Will go back.
