This property was opened in 2016. You wouldn't think that at all from the wear and tear of the rooms. In 2 to 3 years this won't be a place that anyone will want to say based on the care of the inside.
The hotel was nice overall. The pool, lobby and rooms are nice BUT my bathroom in the hotel was very, very dirty. There was dried urine and feces on the toilet, the tub had hair in it and had a pretty good amount of soap scum. It was very dirty. The mirror appeared to have speckles of SOME dark red substance. The sheets were also stained. It made me really think about the cleanliness of towels and sheets.
Kathryn at the front desk was SUPER helpful in enabling to get my clothes washed easily and even at check-in, she was very kind. I really, really like this hotel and it's basically brand new! Highly recommended.
The NEGATIVE AND UNACCEPTABLE things that took place during my stay began the moment I stepped off of the elevator. No one had vacuumed the entire hall at all! No one hadn't vacuumed that hall in over a week or so!!! I go in to Lysol my room down, and it was apparent that the duvet comforters on both beds were not freshly put down. There were marks and spots on each bed more towards the tail end of the comforters.
Very nice hotel in terms of room and amenities but the staff... I never met such an unhelpful, rude and lazy group. Where I could fill up my bottle of water.. the receptionist proceeded to tell me that the bar is closed till 4 and that there was nothing I could do... I filled it up in my hotel room bathroom - again the place is nice but the staff is a joke! do NOT recommend.
I have traveled for years and this past Sunday truly wasn't a pleasant get away from my busy norm. I read the reviews of establishments all the time. I always want to know the thoughts of others before I invest my time and money. I wrote this in hopes that it will help someone else. That just maybe someone will read this and make some serious housekeeping changes at this Hilton Garden Inn.
No one should worry about the basic things such as clean bed linens, clean mirrors, and a vacuumed hallway to that leads to your room. ALL OF THE THINGS I'VE MENTIONED ARE SO BASIC. They should be the norm if nothing else gets done. Plus it lets you know that if things like this aren't being done. YOU CAN FORGET THE THINGS THAT MATTER THE MOST!!!
My waitress and breakfast (the morning of my checkout ) were absolutely awesome.
These are all things that are done in standard hotels and you mean to tell me...things like this are happening at a Hilton Property.
I had no problems with the reservation process. The exterior and the grounds of the hotel are being well taken care of. That's one of the very reasons I decided on this location.
Great location. Near good restaurants and stores. Quiet. Clean. Good breakfast
I pulled the sheets back to sanitize them the best that I could and one set appeared to be stained. In fairness it could've have been old stains that couldn't be removed through the wash. Those types of sheets should be disregarded immediately. I slept on the bed that appeared to be cleaner out of the two double beds.
I Lysol down as much as I could... said a prayer... and went to bed.
Ms. Katheryn (at the front desk of the lobby) was very polite and friendly!
I then go into the bathroom and THE BATHROOM MIRROR was absolutely filthy. I was shocked about that. Like no one even tried to wash the mirror down at all!!!!
I would like to begin by mentioning the PROS/Positives of this stay.
I originally decided to just not comment on this stay at all. However, after getting this survey I really decided to be honest in hopes that something may change and quality improves for the next guest.
There was also significant hair on the floor of the bathroom. There was no point in complaining to Ms. Kathryn it was Labor Day weekend, and I'm sure no one was on staff that would willingly come up and take care of those things. (especially on a holiday weekend)
